We recently celebrated John Churcher’s 80th birthday with a bowls party at Holtwhites Bowls Club. About 45 guests joined John and his family on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon. Many of the guests played bowls for the first time and some showed real promise. It was a lovely, relaxed afternoon with food prepared and served by the family and a bar run by John’s teenage grandchildren. Unfortunately we don’t have a swimming pool at Holtwhites Bowls Club and the photo shows John beginning celebrations with a splash on holiday earlier in the year. Happy Birthday John
